About the Author

G. Xavier Robillard grew up in the monster-ridden ganglands of Long Island, New York.

He has written for McSweeney’s, Cracked, NPR, and Comedy Central. Robillard’s debut novel, Captain Freedom was published by Harper Collins in 2009, and was a semi-finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor in 2010. His hands were featured prominently in a South Korean documentary about superheroes.


He lives in Portland Oregon where he performs comedy, teaches fiction, and works as a Technological Occultist for Chirpify.com.
